Recipe carrot spinach smoothie, that’s quite delicious and good for health

Recipe carrot spinach smoothie easy, cheap, and packed with vitamins. This powerhouse drink is high in vitamins A and C and is loaded with a great variety of minerals such as potassium, calcium, folate and magnesium. Best part is, even your picky eaters will crave them!

If you’re in need of a healthy energy boost in the morning to get you going for the rest of the day, then try this delicious carrot and spinach green smoothie with apple and ginger.


You may find it’s easier to cook the carrots for a few minutes before blending as this will make them a bit softer and easier to blend.

  • 6 Carrots
  • 2 Apples (with seeds, optional)
  • 1 Small piece of ginger root
  • 50 Grams of spinach
  • 1 Banana
  • Half glass of orange juice (or 1 fresh orange)
  • Water + ice cubes
  1. Cut the carrots, apples, ginger and orange in smaller pieces. The apples can be blended with skin and seeds.

  2. Add all the ingredients in the blender in this order: banana, orange, spinach, carrots, apples, ginger, water and ice cubes.

  3. Blend at high speed for 30 seconds, followed by 30 seconds at low speed. Ready to serve


As mentioned, carrots are not the easiest of ingredients to blend, so make sure you add enough liquids.

For this green smoothie I have added orange juice and also one banana to give it a bit more of a fruity taste.

I also added spinach as a main ingredient. Not only to honor the word green in green smoothie, but also because it gives this smoothie a better balance.

It works well with the carrots and ginger that both have a very dominant taste.

Depending on your diet and taste preferences, spinach can easily be replaced with kale or any other green vegetable you may prefer.

Overall this carrot spinach smoothie recipe is absolutely delicious and will provide you with a great amount of nutrients in one go.
